Mason Jar Salad

All there is to say for this idea is:

Will and I went a little nuts Saturday buying a palette of quart sized Mason jars to supplement our already large supply of pint size ones. We are now storing and restoring things we haven't put into jars yet and I remembered seeing salads in Mason jars on Pinterest. I had just enough spinach and veggies to create one more little salad this weekend, so I decided to put it in the Mason jar for lunch on Monday. It turned out okay-I couldn't really tell if my tomatoes made everything a little soggy, or if I've developed a strong aversion to ranch dressing and just imagined that the salad was soggy. I actually think it's the latter, so I would definitely Mason jar a salad again! I also realized why you put things in a certain way-it's because when you dump it out, the lettuce lands on the bottom and all the tasty things should land on top!

Eating Note: Have a plate on hand. Do not attempt to eat salad out of jar.
Here is the link to the woman's blog that I got the idea from: My Not-So-Simple Life: Mason Jar Salads. And here is my Mason jar salad:
